Camino de Santiago, Compostela and Finisterre

2017-18, 200 cm x 200 cm paintings or as indicated.  All paintings executed in Arenys de Mar, Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain.

These paintings celebrate walking the ancient Camino de Santiago, Compostela, spring 2018, across northern Spain, the "field of stars" and a few days further to Finisterre, "the end of the earth".  The paintings are dedicated to those I met and what I saw and experienced that enriched the pilgrimage and to two of my departed colleagues, Nils and Michael, whose ashes I carried almost 1000 kilometers to be spread in the waters of Finisterre.
